Osteopathy

I was first introduced to osteopathy when my mom visited one to combat her autoimmune liver disease and saw great improvements. I decided that if a health practice can help someone I loved so much that I needed to investigate! I was immediately fascinated with the perspective Osteopathy took to healing the body. Treating holistically and facilitating the body’s self regulating mechanisms really resonated with me.

After completing my 4 year bachelors degree in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo I went on to complete a 4 year masters degree in Osteopathy at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton, Ontario. I have over 1000 hour of practical training and 2 years of post graduate experience. I finished my degree with my final case study on Primary Biliary Cirrhosis, inspired by my mother, and how Osteopathic interventions change prognosis through multiple case studies. Over time, I have developed a passion for engaging with my patients to make them feel healthy not only physically, but also on an emotional, mental, and spiritual level through my work. When I am not treating you might find me walking my dogs at Pacific Spirit, sailing, or at local live music shows!

Some of my post graduate courses include: Post-Partum Osteopathy Cranial-Visceral Person-Centered Pain Anatomy Trains Specialty Class: The Nervous System
